Background
Kelly is originally from Kansas City and attended the University of Kansas then went onto the University of Texas at Austin to pursue her dreams of being a Speech Pathologist. During her free time, she enjoys woodworking, furniture flipping, reading, and scrapbooking. Kelly’s favorite thing about herself is how her Dyslexia has made her an expert I-Spy finder!
Kelly is an experienced Speech Language Pathologist adept at working with students of all backgrounds between ages 3 to 20 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language delays, cleft lip and palate, neurodegenerative diseases, Specific Learning Disability, Reading Disorders, Dyslexia, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and those who use augmentative alternative communication.
Kelly brings over 5 years of clinical background and a lifelong personal knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder thanks to her amazing sister Abby, who is an Autism Spectrum Superstar! Kelly is passionate about providing engaging, individualized therapy that builds on children’s strengths and leads to outcomes that are functional and meaningful for families.
Kelly says “What I love about ACS is their ability to bridge the gap between a kid’s ability and a kid’s confidence. I love seeing kids not only grow in the areas of speech, reading, and language, but also increase their positive outlook for themselves.”
