Alicia Winsor-Contreras, MA, CFY-SLP
Alicia pursued the field of speech-language pathology because she has had a passion for helping others from a young age. Her passion was ignited as a child when she watched her brother go to speech therapy throughout his childhood. Alicia vividly remembers how passionate and caring her brother’s SLP was towards her family and decided to become an advocate for children like her brother. She has experience with the populations of voice/resonance disorders, AAC, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing community (cochlear implants/hearing aids). Alicia is interested in working with the oral motor/feeding population while at ACS. As a new therapist, she is excited and passionate about helping each child reach their full potential.
Alicia believes a child can succeed in every stage of their life by having a support system that uplifts, cares for, and guides them. She sees how awesome ACS works together as a team and incorporates each family into their child’s success. She is delighted to be part of the team and to make a difference in the lives of children and their families!
