Anna Hammer, MS, CCC-SLP
Background
Anna grew up by the sunny beaches of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and moved to Austin, Texas in 2020. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication science and disorders from Florida State University and her master’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. In her free time, she enjoys going rock climbing, reading, playing with her dog, Conway, and enjoying live music with her partner, Jake. During the cooler months, she enjoys hiking and camping.
Anna always had a passion for helping others and entering the field of speech-language pathology allowed her to pursue helping others every day. She has been working in the field since 2022. In addition to being a natural language acquisition and gestalt language development trained clinician, she also has special interests in neurodiverse affirming therapy, stuttering, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Her favorite part about being a therapist is learning about each child’s unique strengths and interests and incorporating them into therapy. Anna loves working at ACS because of the amazing, compassionate, and supportive team. She values the highly collaborative environment where the staff works to put the clients and their families first. She chose to work at ACS because of the continued support ACS provides to the therapists to ensure we can provide the best care for each client and their family.
